Ursa Major Robotics

Rebuilt

The main goal of the Rebuilt season was to collect "Fuel" (foam balls), which are then scored into the hub—a 6-foot-tall funnel. A secondary objective was to climb a ladder-like tower at the end of the match.

Matches are 2m 30s long with the first 20 seconds being completely autonomous, meaning that it is controlled only through pre-written code.

This year, Ursa Major has hosted several LEGO Robotics day camps for local students from ages 10-14, a FIRST LEGO League Competition, and a badminton tournament.

After 7 weeks of hard work of designing, building, and programming, we went to the Canadian Pacific Regional at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver.
During the qualifiers, we did not do as well as expected in terms of accuracy: where it would not always shoot into the hub; however, other teams saw our potential in defense and assisting, and we were chosen to join the 1st seed Alliance; we brought home the blue Winners banner along with 359: The Hawaiian Kids, and 3683: Team D.A.V.E.
